Good Morning!

We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend! Not only is Memorial Day an important time to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country, but it is a day to spend quality time with family and friends as a kickoff to summer. Unfortunately, with social distancing we couldn’t celebrate as we have in year’s past.

It’s safe to say everyone is feeling the fatiguing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, but we still have a long way to go. So, let’s stay positive! After all, energy and enthusiasm are contagious. How’s your energy level today? If you’re feeling a little blah, get outdoors and spend some time in nature. Break out the bike, kayak, fishing rod, picnic supplies or hiking boots and spend the day enjoying Mother Nature. Spending time outdoors is proven to be good for your health and your soul.

Another way I try to stay positive is to find inspiration from others. I watched Bellarmine’s head basketball coach, Scott Davenport, last week on Great Day Live. He said during this crisis, he’s noticed something: People being nicer. He asked his players if they’d noticed this and they agreed. So, his next question was “WHY NOT ALL THE TIME?”

I’ll leave you with that final thought. Why not be nice all the time?

Up and Up!
