Season’s Greetings!
The holiday season always reminds me about my family’s traditions – all those wonderful stories and memories I cherish from my childhood. Baking Christmas cookies with my grandmother, decorating the tree, making homemade ornaments while listening to our favorite Christmas music…all wonderful traditions that really made the holidays special.
Holiday traditions are usually created and preserved because they bring meaning to our celebrations and help bond us to those we love. They offer a certain spirit that cultivates family connection, giving us a sense of belonging while also helping us celebrate and remember generations of family. More importantly, traditions create positive memories for our children. Children crave the warmth and promise that follow traditions- and adults are no exception!
So, just when you think “geez, where am I gonna put that annoying elf tonight?” Remember you’re really creating something special – memories of a holiday tradition that will be cherished for years to come.
What is your favorite holiday tradition? We love getting new Christmas PJ’s and watching our favorite Christmas movies over a cup of hot cocoa. But no matter what you celebrate, treasure the memories with your friends and family because traditions can last a lifetime if you let them!
