As a working mother, one thing I struggle with is remembering to make time for myself. With today’s fast-paced world, I’m sure this is a common problem a lot of people struggle with.
One thing I constantly need to remind myself is that I am worth it. Taking time out of my family’s busy schedule to check in with myself feels almost selfish, but it’s not- it’s necessary! Alone time has a lot of benefits including increasing productivity, sparking creativity and helping to build mental strength. In addition, solitude can help you check-in with yourself and your goals, as well as allowing you time to relax each day.
If it’s important to simply be with yourself on a daily basis, why is it so hard to make it happen? It doesn’t have to be. Create your own space. Start your day with just you and your morning coffee or end the day taking ten minutes before bed to reflect and think about what you want to come out of tomorrow.
