Rise & Shine!

Did you know this Wednesday, April 22nd is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day? Earth Day is a global movement putting environmental concerns front and center. It’s embraced by over a billion people and over 190 countries. This year’s theme is climate action. Visit earthday.org for more information.

In honor of Earth Day, we wanted to spread some buzz about paper and help our bees. Contrary to the belief that paper is bad for the environment, paper is one of the few truly sustainable products. Paper is made from wood, a natural resource, that is renewable, recyclable and can be managed sustainably. Check out twosidesna.org for more details.

And BEElieve it or not, you have a bee to thank for every 1 in 3 bites of food you eat. Honeybees perform about 80% of all pollination worldwide. According to the USDA, honeybees are the third most important livestock type in the U.S. Want some flower seed paper to grow “honeybee loving” wildflowers? Email me, DeniseS@GoHighNote.com with your address and watch for the yellow envelope.

Get outside. Plant the seed paper. Today and every day, let’s unite as one to protect Mother Earth. #EarthDayNetwork #InThisTogether

Be well.
